James Alan Wall

James Alan Wall, 79, of Malvern, PA passed away April 20, 2023. He was born in Westerly, RI on February 5, 1944 to the late John Joseph and Mary Agnes Tierney Wall. Jim was the loving husband of almost 59 cherished years to Constance Leda Perreault Wall. Following his graduation in 1967 from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, James went on to begin an expansive career in the Chemical Engineering Field at companies including Union Carbide, Lindy Division; BASF, Oxirane, and Atlantic Richfield. Even in his retirement, James continued to share his love and passion for Science as a Long-Term Substitute, teaching Chemistry for West Chester Area School District. Jim had a true infinity for cars, and greatly enjoyed going to car shows and driving his red Pontiac Trans Am and big red Dodge Ram pickup truck. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing, golf, and sailing with friends. He was renowned for his cooking, baking, and barbecue skills, and could fix absolutely anything with his vast array of tools and equipment. He also enjoyed writing stories and books. Jim enjoyed traveling with Connie, both domestic and internationally, and a few of his favorite places were Galveston Bay in Texas, Arcadia National Park, and anywhere he was with his family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife, Constance, Jim is survived by his daughters, Caroline Rachfalski (Daniel) and Catherine Kulkarni (Kaushik), his grandchildren Courtney Mumford, Megan Rachfalski (Fiance Jordan Revak), Lilia Kulkarni and Willow Kulkarni, and his great-grandchildren Lucas Mumford and Baby Girl Revak due in June 2023. Jim is also survived by his brothers Robert Wall (Deanna) and William Wall (Susan), and his sisters Sheila Aliberti (Henry) and Kathy Spector (Scott), as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Wall, Sr., his brothers Edward Wall (Connie) and John Wall, Jr. (Nancy), and his niece Susan Corcoran (Michael). Relatives and friends are invited to Jim's visitation on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Saint Patrick's Church, 104 Channing Avenue, Malvern, PA followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. A committal service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 10:00AM at St. Peter's Cemetery, 217 Switzerland Road, Lewiston, ME 04240.
