John M. Klunk

John M. Klunk of West Chester John M. Klunk, 50, of West Chester, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Mildred Fenstermacher Klunk. He was a 1979 graduate of Downingtown High School and a 1986 graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1979 to 1981. He was a member of the Order of the Eagles in West Chester, where he worked as a bartender. He was also a member of the Chester County Board of Appeals. John was a coach for the Downingtown Young Whippets and was a P.I.A.A. official. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his brothers, Kenneth E. Klunk, Sr. and wife, Barbara, of Downingtown, James "Chunky" Klunk of Coatesville, William "Tadpole" Klunk and wife, Denise, of Downingtown; sisters, Ruth Ann Graveno and husband, Adam, of Franklin, Tenn., and Susan K. Fleck and husband, Stephen, of Downingtown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Edward C. Klunk, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 16, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 15 and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
