John H. McLaughlin

John H. McLaughlin, Sr. of Coatesville John H. McLaughlin, Sr., 78, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Gale (Poff) McLaughlin, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Wilmington, Del., John was the son of the late Mary (Lis) and Howard R. McLaughlin. He served honorably in the US Army. John worked at Lukens Steel for 37 years, retiring in 1993. He is survived by his six children: Jeanne Blaettler, wife of Gene, of WA, Jody McLaughlin of Ga., Andrea Self of Fla., Eve Hinkle, wife of Mel, of Modena, Pa., Gale Pirches, wife of Ken, of West Caln, Pa., John McLaughlin Jr. of Fla., and Richard L. McLaughlin of Coatesville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Christy Deubuque. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment at Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery.
