Joseph D. Natalie Sr.

Joseph D. Natalie, Sr., 74, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Neighborhood Hospice of West Chester. He was the husband of Evelyn M. Farnum Natalie, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Frank Sr. and Catherine Ancone Natalie. Joseph was a car enthusiast and enjoyed wood-working. He had worked for many companies throughout his career, including Milanese Remodeling, Pepperidge Farm, Foote Mineral and was self-employed with various construction companies. He also worked as head of the maintenance department at Bishop Shanahan for several years. He loved spending time with his family, whether it is at the beach or their Sunday evening dinners. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children; Jeanine Marie Natalie, Cathleen Marie DePedro and Joseph D. Natalie, Jr. He is also survived by four granddaughters; Nicole, Danielle, Isabella and Gianna; a brother Frank Natalie, Jr and his wife Virginia and a sister, Rose DiSanti and her husband Elmer. He was predeceased by a brother, William Natalie. Visitations will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 29th and from 8:30-10:15 a.m. Friday, January 30th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery.
