Marian Herman Obituary

Marian W. Herman of Elverson Marian W. Herman, 94, of Elverson, formerly of Pomeroy, passed away on Sunday, October 23 under the care of her family. She was the widow of the late Ernest E. Herman, Sr. who passed in 1990. Born in Cochranville, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Anna Randler Warden. An area resident all her life, she was the oldest living member of the Pomeroy Methodist Church, a Life Member of the Pomeroy Fire Co. and a member of the Cochranville OES #347. Marian retired from Keystone Mushroom of Westwood in 1975. She is survived by four children, Ernest E. Herman, Jr., husband of Laura, of East Fallowfield, Anne E. Gillespie, widow of George L. Gillespie and companion of Albert T. Book, Jr., of Parkesburg, Mildred Kuhn, wife of Raymond, of Coatesville and Kathleen Klaus, wife of William, of Elverson; eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Mildred Usner. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Fairview Cemetery of Coatesville. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pomeroy Methodist Church, P O Box 37, Pomeroy, PA 19367.

My condolences to Marian's family and children. I can remember the times the entire Herman clan had great reunions at Aunt Bethas's farm. She was a great help to my parents in their olden days. Rest in Peace.
