Michael Amodei Obituary

Michael Louis Amodei, 59 of Malvern, PA passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday June 30th, 2022 following a courageous 20 month battle with cancer. Michael was the loving husband of Rachael (Nee Kelley) Amodei and son of the late John M. Sr. and Mary Ellen (nee Mann). Michael enjoyed the simplest pleasures in life. He was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at home or the beach, harness racing, riding his Harley Davidson or simply “fiddling” around in his garage with his dog Lola by his side. Michael was a passionate competitor and dedicated many years to the sport of softball as a player, coach and umpire. He worked tirelessly as the owner and operator of a successful pavement marking business yet always had time to mentor and support colleagues in his trade. Michael “Modi” will be dearly missed and remembered fondly for his generous, loyal spirit, quick wit and ability to make anyone laugh. Surviving are 3 adoring daughters: Hannah, Brandi and Jacklyn. Also surviving is a sister: Julia (Chuck) Deitch. Michael was predeceased by a brother: Jack (Lauren) Amodei, Jr. Relatives and friends may call on Fri. July 8, 2022 from 930-11AM at Ss. Philip & James RC Church: 107 North Ship Rd. Exton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11AM. Burial private by the request of the family. Michael requested that everyone dress in summer attire & former teammates consider wearing their favorite softball jersey. Arrangements are with Moore, Snear, Ruggiero Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Conshohocken, PA. 610-828-0330

Our time was far too short, but we´re deeply thankful to have had Mike as a brother in law. His love and dedication for family, ability to enjoy the simple things, unwavering integrity, and sense of humor distinguished him as a truly remarkable person and dad. May we honor his memory with laughter, love, and meticulous recycling.

Oh Modi- what great times we all had. Riding. Laughing. The occasional disagreements - haha. Then you became a father of three beautiful girls and I became a grandmother. Where did the time go?! But now, rest easy, my friend. You done good and you will be remembered with a smirk and a smile always. And Rachel, so sad for your loss.
