Aunt Millicent, I hope you heard me somehow in your last day of life. I admired you and always reveled in your stories about my parents, my grandfather and grandmother, and you and Bob. You weathered some difficult times and the challenges of multiple moves with kids. Now we carry your memories and spirit forward and share them with the next generation. We miss you and the loss of the matriarch of the family.

Aunt Millicent, you took a keen interest in people and their well being, that is what mattered most to you.

I had the privilege of getting to know Millicent as she was in the same nursing facility as my father. They had many common aquaintances, and shared memories of old times in and around the Church Farm School in Exton. She was a lively and interesting conversationalist, and we enjoyed swapping many a story, over Dunkin' Donuts coffee. She loved flowers, and good stories, and always asked great questions. We shared gardening theories. I miss her wit and charm. She is the type of woman I hope to be as I grow old.

It's hard to believe the last of this generation of our family is gone. Aunt Millicent always managed to know what was going on in our lives, no matter the time it had been since we saw her. She was adored and will be missed.
