Nicholas Marcello Obituary

Nicholas J. Marcello, of Aston Nicholas J. “Nick” Marcello, age 71, died suddenly on May 26, 2016 at his home in Aston. He was born in Brookhaven and was a 1963 graduate of Sun Valley High School. Nick worked for and was a longtime member of IBEW Local 654. He consulted with and was project manager for many utility companies, including Salem Nuclear Power Plant and retired in 2006. Nick was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle who enjoyed spending time with his family and helping others. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed his daily swims in his pool. He was the son of the late Frank and Sabia Porecca-Marcello of Cosoli, Italy and brother of the late Antoinette Bascelli. SURVIVORS: His loving wife: Cheryl (McAllister) Marcello; 3 daughters: Robin Marcello, Nicole Marcello-Fasois, and Amanda Marcello; step-daughter: Kristi Johnston; sisters: Anne Arner and Pauline Kelly; brother: Frank Marcello; grandchildren: Lindsey, Michael, Mallory, Demetrios, Logan, and Hanna; also survived by his 4 cats. VISITATION: Wednesday from 10-11:45 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday at 12 pm at the funeral home. BURIAL: Private. The man who always smiled! There were so many good times.. I can't even begin to list them all. We know that Nick is smiling down on all of us. His heart was always full of love and laughter. We will truly miss him, but we will never forget him.

All of Nick's classmates from the Sun Valley H.S. Class of '63 will miss him dearly. He was considered one of the nicest guys in the Class by almost everyone. If you contact me through email ([email protected]), I can forward messages sent from many of his classmates upon hearing of his passing.

So sorry to hear about Nick's passing. He was one of the happiest people I have ever met. Every time I went to visit my sister he would be sitting on his porch with a great smile and would always speak to you. He will be missed.
