Richard H. Hendrie

Richard H. Hendrie, of Paradise, Pa. Richard H. Hendrie, of Paradise, Pa., peacefully passed into the arms of his Lord, at home on September 22, 2011, after a two year battle with cancer. Born at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital, he was the son of Adele (Levin) Nunemaker of Cherry Hill, N.J. and the late Alford Hendrie, Jr. He was married to Deborah (Yoder) Hendrie for almost 12 years. A graduate of Millersville University, Richard was an electrician who taught electrical occupations for 33 years in the Coatesville School District and at CAT Brandywine. A member of St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Strasburg, he was active in his church and loved camping with family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Stephen and granddaughters, Alyx and Sidney Hendrie, of East Petersburg; Jason, husband of Angie and grandson Austin Hendrie, of Manheim; Joshua, husband of Rebecca Hendrie of New Jersey; Sara wife of Steve Brooks of Mt. Joy; Brandt Rosch of Millersville and Curtis Rosch at home. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 40 East Main Street, Strasburg, PA 17579, with Pastor Vaughn Glover officiating.
