My electric vo-tech teacher in 1981 and 1982. Helped me decide my career path. A fantastic teacher who went the extra mile for me. Loved when he threw end of the year parties at his house. I think of him often and will never forget him.

Worked with Dick at CAT Brandywine. Will always remember him as "Santa" for the ECE lab preschool. His patience and love for the children, his real beard that he encouraged the children to pull and his engaging personality made him the best ever. Children often said "There is a REAL Santa and he came to MY preschool."

I am so saddened by the passing of "Hendrie". I was in his electrical occupations class at CAT-B class of 2000. I still tell stories to the guys in the field about my times in shop with him. He was by far the BEST TEACHER I EVER HAD.

Mr. Hendrie was a wonderful teacher, great roll model and an inspiration to me during my years at Votech. He always encouraged us to finish what we started and that you are only as good as your word. He defended us when others wouldn't and he made us all feel important. Thank you sir for all you did for us. Although it's been many years since we saw each other, your love and faith are warm in my heart. My condolences to the Hendrie family. CCCVTS Class of 1983
