Wade H. Pugh III

Wade H. Pugh III, formerly of Chatham Wade H. Pugh III of Silver Spring, Md., formerly of Chatham, Pa., died on April 27, 2011 at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center after a brief illness. Born September 12, 1953 in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Wade Pugh Jr. and Dorothy (Aberts) Pugh. Wade was an adjunct professor of math at Montgomery College in Silver Spring, and owned his own business, Probastat, as a statistics and probability tutor. He was considered an expert in the field of statistics. He graduated from Potomac State College, Shepherd College, and West Virginia University. Wade is survived by the love of his life, wife Lisa R. (Wellander); sister Bobbi (Bill) Hamilton of Morgantown, W. Va.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Lois Wellander of Arkansas; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Karen and Rick Hawes of Arkansas; nieces and nephews, Ashley (Jeff) Marion of Arlington, Va.; Daniel, Rochelle, Kristen, Aaron, John, Cheyenne & Abby Hawes of Arkansas. Wade was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of the Deaf in Silver Spring. Relatives and friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. today, Saturday, April 30, at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. W., Silver Spring, Md. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 9545 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, Md. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
