Bobby Neil "Bob" Pickle

1945 - 2022

Bobby "Bob" Neil Pickle was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He died at his home in Memphis, Tennessee on June 9, 2022, at age 76.

Bob was born in Wenatchee, Washington on September 13, 1945. After spending his childhood in Washington and Arkansas, Bob became the guidance counselor at Woerther Elementary, in St Louis, Missouri. In St. Louis, Bob met the love of his life, Vicki. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters, Sarah and Elyse.

Bob was known for being a great outdoorsman and sharing his love of nature, archery and fishing with everyone he met. He loved spending time with his dogs, Robert and Leo, and his 4 grandchildren. He was devoted to shaping and improving the lives of children, evidenced by 40 years of service in public school education.

Bob's family carries on his memory. His wife, Vicki Pickle, children Sarah Pickle and Elyse Pickle Jaworski, and grandchildren Sutter, Colson, Magnolia and Palmer will remember Bob as a "country cowboy" who never met a stranger and loved to dance. He will always be remembered with his lucky rocks in his pocket, candy in his coat, a coffee thermos in his hand, and a cowboy hat on his head.

A small funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 2 pm at Temple Israel Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee. A memorial to celebrate Bob will be held later this summer in St. Louis, Missouri.
