Charles Wallace Obituary

Charles Wayne Wallace, 83, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2025. Mr. Wallace was born on November 23, 1941, in Olive Branch, MS to the late James and Rosie Wallace. He is a 1960 graduate of Olive Branch High School where he played football and was on the track and field team. He was a co-captain of the football team his senior year. He was also president of the Jaycees for a time. As a child, he worked in his dad's shoe repair shop. He later went to work for Eli Walker Manufacturing as a salesman for over 20 years. After Eli Walker, he went to work for Brame Manufacturing in Batesville. He and his wife also owned Midsouth Screen Printing for over 30 years. Mr. Wallace was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Maples Memorial United Methodist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Ole Miss Rebels play and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Being "GG" to his grandchildren was one of his greatest joys in life. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings: Melba Philen, Max Wallace, Hassel Wallace, Maurice Wallace, Billy Wallace, Larry Wallace, and Peggy Williams. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frances Malone Wallace; daughter, Karen W. Medlin (Harvey); son, Lance Wayne Wallace (Tricia); grandchildren: Abbeni Boughton, Jospeh Bula, and Patrick Bula; great-grandchildren: Cameron Boughton, Aubree Boughton, Addison Reid, Anthony Bula, Nathan Bula, and Grayson Carmon; step-grandchildren: Candance Freeman, Wesley Medlin, and Alaina Allen; and three siblings: Helen Patrick, Johnny Wallace (Eleanor), and Tommy Wallace. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 5-7pm. A funeral service will be held at Maples Memorial United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Autumn Woods Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s in his honor.
