Dino Grisanti Obituary

Dino Vincent Grisanti, a father, husband, son, brother, uncle, chef and Star Wars enthusiast, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2024, at the age of 48. Dino's life was woven with love, laughter, and the irresistible aroma of delicious food.

Born on January 6, 1976, Dino grew up in the restaurant business, shaping his entire life. He went to culinary school and pursued his dream of becoming a chef. His dishes were more than just meals; they were a way to connect to people. He understood that cooking is about nurturing people. When you cook for someone, you are a part of their lives in a significant way. In 2020 he opened Farm and Fig and loved not only cooking but the time he spent with customers.

He was a dedicated teacher who loved connecting with his students. He volunteered his time to coach various soccer teams and moderated the Culinary Club at CBHS where he shared his knowledge and love for cooking with students. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he had a unique ability to make learning fun. His students and players will remember him not just as a mentor, but as someone who inspired them to pursue their dreams, whatever they may be.

Above all, Dino was a family man. He cherished his role as a father to 6 children, Izzy, Lilli, Sara, Cody, Conner, and Giovanni. He was their biggest supporter, always ready with a joke or silliness to brighten their day. As a husband, Dino was the anchor, providing unwavering love and support to his wife, Carolyn. Their marriage was a partnership filled with laughter, mutual respect, and immense love.

Dino's sense of humor was legendary. He had a gift for making people laugh, even in the most challenging times. His quick wit and playful spirit brought joy to everyone he met. Friends and family will always remember the way he could light up a room with his presence. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor. He truly brought the life to the party.

Dino's love for Star Wars was a significant part of his life. He found joy in sharing this passion with his children, often quoting his favorite movie lines. His personal favorite was from Qui-Gon Jinn: "Your focus determines your reality." He tried to let this wisdom guide him in his life and inspire those around him to focus on what truly mattered.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, his children, Izzy, Lilli, Sara, Cody, Conner, and Giovanni, his daughters-in-law Katie and Makayla, and son-in-law to be Nick. His grandchildren, Oliver, Ezra, and Gwen, his parents, Rudy Grisanti and Sue and Terry Wynne, his brother Mario, sister- in -law Rachel, nephews and nieces and so many more family and friends. He touched the lives of so many with his kindness, generosity, and zest for life. While his passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, the memories of his remarkable life will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. "May the Force will be with you, always"

Rudy prepared a wonderful wonderful breakfast for me at Farm and Fig, even though he was not really serving breakfast at that time of day. I had come in after an early appointment for car repair, and he very kindly went out of his way to serve me. He was so thoughtful and considerate, even though he didn´t know me at all. I did not know that he was from the Grisanti family at that time. His memory will be a blessing to all who knew him.

I´m just at a loss for words these past few days. Remembering Dino is such a happy thought for me. I´ve know him and Mario since they were very little and "trying" to take care of them then was always a fun time. I´ll miss you Dino. Please be rest assured I´ll be looking after your Mom too now.
