Earl Wainscott Obituary

Earl Gene Wainscott, age 85, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Earl was born in Bragg City, MO on July 31, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl T. Wainscott and Eula Mae Evans, his wife, Geraldine Wainscott, and his youngest brother, Gary Don Wainscott.

Earl graduated from Wardell High School and the University of Memphis. Earl was a humble servant to both his family and his community. He was actively involved in the community by serving with the fraternal order of police, Kirby Pines Church and retired from the City of Memphis as a police sergeant. He even served our country as a soldier in the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memory three siblings, Cordia Jeanette Watkins (Bill); Shirley Wainscott Figgins, and Barbara Wainscott Wilbanks (Joe); along with eleven nieces and nephews.

Committal services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 3 p.m. at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38125.
