Harvey Brandt Obituary

Harvey Leroy Brandt, age 86, resident of Oakland, Tennessee, departed this life Sunday evening, August 17, 2025, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House.

Harvey was born November 28, 1938, in Tacoma Park, Maryland, the son of Fred George Henry Brandt and Grace Barbara Vane Brandt. He attended Wakefield High School and then entered the Navy.

Harvey was employed as a truck mechanic for thirty-six years. He moved to Fayette County in July 2007 after living in New Jersey for 42 years.

Mr. Brandt was a member of Keyport First Aid Squad (1969-2007). He enjoyed working on vehicles and spending time with his family.

Mr. Brandt is survived his wife, Joan A. Brandt, one daughter, Barbara Riker (Nicholas) of Arlington, TN.; two sons, Mark Brandt (Victoria) of Jacksonville, FL.; David Brandt (Mary) of Brighton, TN., one sister, Shirley Simmons of Jacksonville, FL., seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A visitation for Mr. Brandt will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Peebles Funeral Home West Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Peebles Funeral Home West Chapel with Bro. Mike Hollaway officiating.
