James Pentecost Obituary

James Murry Pentecost, 82, of Collierville, passed away September 10, 2025, and is now at peace with his beloved wife, Martha (dec. 2008). Jim was a 1961 graduate of Messick High School, Memphis State University graduate in 1966, and owner of Minuteman Press Printing Center in Memphis, TN. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time with family and truly adored his grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Martha and he is survived by his daughter, Penny (Danny) Barry of Conroe, TX; son Murry Pentecost of Omaha, NE; son Matthew (Catherine) Pentecost of Germantown, TN; sister Penny Powers of Collierville, TN; grandchildren, Kailyn, Ryan, Jonah, William, and Emily. Visitation will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am Monday, September 15th and graveside service will follow at 11:00am all at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Dementia Society of America. Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119 (901) 767-8930. "Where Memphis comes to remember, since 1924."
