Jerome Kaplan Obituary
Jerome was a lifelong resident of Memphis, graduated from Central High School and Memphis State University. Jerome and his wife Sherry owned several successful businesses in Memphis. They opened a men's clothing store "Male Call" and later created and ran "JIM Promotions", a family business that still thrives today. Jerome was a member of Baron Hirsch Synagogue. He was a member at Memphis Jewish Community Center and thoroughly enjoyed working out in the gym and participating in their senior adult lunches. He was also an avid golf golfer and loved playing the stock market.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth "Shug" Richardson, Benjamin Kaplan, and stepfather Abe Richardson as well as his and beloved wife, Sherry Kaplan.
He is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Mark) Curland, Michelle (Ed) Powell, 4 grandchildren - Jessica (Chris) White, Austin Curland, Will Powell, Alicia Powell and 5 great - grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on August 30, 2022, 1:00pm Baron Hirsch Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial donations be made to Baron Hirsch Synagogue, Memphis Jewish Community Center senior services program or to the charity of your choice.
