Joseph Goggio Obituary

Joseph Louis Goggio, age 92, of Southaven, Mississippi, passed away June 27, 2021. A lifelong Memphian, he was born November 27, 1928. He retired from the Tennessee Air National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel with the position of Comptroller, after 38 years of service. He received several badges, medals, and other commendations during his career. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Southaven.

He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Delois Goggio, and sister, Angeline Gardner. He is survived by his children, Joseph Anthony Goggio and Susan Sydnor (Art), and niece, Janice Tankersley.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 6 from 1:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Entombment will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1663 Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, TN 38106.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
