Kevin Harris Obituary
Born on July 23rd, 1960, Kevin was adopted by his father Bobby Don Harris and his late mother Patricia Ann Harris. He grew up in Tennessee and graduated from Milan High School in 1979. During his high school years, he was a proud member of the Milan High School football team that won the state championship in 1977.
In the late 1970s, Kevin served as a youth pastor, and was state FFA member treasurer Mialn chapter until 1980.Demonstrating an early commitment to service and mentorship. He went on to earn a degree in agricultural education from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1983. Following graduation, Kevin dedicated himself to teaching agriculture for nearly two
decades before retiring in the early 2000s.
While education was an important part of his life, Kevin's true passion lay with horses. His work within the horse community-particularly with racehorses-took him across several states including Tennessee, Arizona, and Louisiana. Known for his dedication and compassion, Kevin worked tirelessly to care for ailing horses and support those around him. His presence left a lasting impact on both animals and people alike.
Kevin is remembered by his father Bobby Don Harris; his sister Rhonda Harris Exum; his son Bobby Don Harris II; his daughter Lynn Ann Harris; and his granddaughter Elaina Grace Harris by his son.
A celebration of life and memorial service will be held on April 13, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Legacy Church, located at 7054 St. Elmo Road, Bartlett, TN 38135.
May Kevin's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all who were touched by his life.

Such a wonderful man. He was special, different, caring, fun and a shining light in this world. He made a huge impact on my life and I will cherish him and the memories I have forever. Until we meet again..

Kevin, The Bear, will forever hold space in my heart. I met him approximately 10 ago in a barn in Adamsville, TN where my horse was in training. He worked on my horse and then he asked me is he could touch the back of my hand, then ask me to sit down in the hall of the barn he gave me my 1st acupuncture experience and he opened the doors to help me find healing to pain that I had been fighting for 20 years. He gave me healing and that day forward we became good friends. He has stayed with me in my house and on my place when he needed a safe place to heal. I helped him with horses and he helped me with rehome my horses when my daughter was dying and I needed to be with her more than at home.
Kevin always knew when I had something happening in my family and he called or showed up.
He and my husband shared many hours talking over how to fix a problem with equipment or trucks.
My life has been for ever changed because of Kevin, and he knew that I loved him. He will forever live in my heart and I will forever love and miss Kevin.
