Margie Cox Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the home-going of Margaret "Margie" Cox. Margie was born October 18, 1938, to Charles and Bertha Carter in Saulsbury, Tennessee, and passed away peacefully at her home in Olive Branch, Mississippi, on January 24, 2025. She was 86 years old. Margie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hammond Cox; daughter, Ginger Marbury; step-son, Jerry Cox; grandson, Michael Ricketts, and great-grandson, Nathan Carroll. She leaves behind one daughter, Sylvia "Beth" Johnson (Phillip); one step-daughter, Jennie Whitten; 9 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. Margie was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and planted seeds with everyone she knew, especially with her family. She was instrumental in leading many of her grandchildren to know Jesus. She was a longstanding member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Olive Branch. While she will be greatly missed, we know she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Visitation will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church of Olive Branch on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with services immediately to follow.
