Max Miller Obituary

Max Carlton Miller is a Retired U.S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer (MCPO).

He served in the USN; USAF and the Pennsylvania Army National Guard over a 30 year period. During that time he served at numerous shore stations in the US and overseas. He also served aboard the Aircraft Carriers: USS Intrepid (CVS-11); USS Wasp (CVS-18); and USS Enterprise (CVN-65). He was born in West Marlboro Township, Chester County, PA and attended his first 12 years of education in Kennett Square, PA. He later received an AA Degree at Pensacola Jr. College, FL; then a BS degree at the University of Albany, NY and then later he received his MS degree at Memphis State University, TN. After retirement from the military, Max worked with AutoShack/AutoZone and Federal Express in Memphis for several years and then retired again in 2000. Additionally, he was also a Real Estate Broker for several years in the Memphis area.

Max received great pleasure from the love he shared with his long time Sweetie Pat Anderson and their blended Families and Friends. He also, enjoyed the companionship and love of their two jack Russell Terriers Shadow and Tyler and their Shitzu Ande.

Max was preceded by his Father and Mother, Gurvice and Lulia Miller, and his brother Kenneth Miller, of New London, PA and his brother Jack Miller of Knoxville, TN.

He is survived by two sons, Steven (Nancy) of Palm Bay, FL and Michael (Evgenia) Miller and two Grandchildren Alex & Katherine of Carthage, NC and two sisters Annett and Rosemary of PA... along with several Nieces and Nephews. Max also leaves behind Patricia (Pat) Anderson and her two daughters, Penne Bramlett and Robin (Gregg) Rickard and two Grandsons... Kurtis (Ashley) Bramlett and Konner (Taylor) Bramlett.

Services will be private with Graveside Services immediately following at the same location with Full Military Honors. Location: Forrest Hill East Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis TN, 38133 (901-382-1000).

Max was my first cousin. His father and my mother were siblings. I enjoyed seeing him at family reunions. We continued to enjoy shared emails, phone calls and Bible versus. I know where Max is. He´s not only enjoying being in Christ´s presence, he´s loving see our family that have gone on as well. I will see him again!

A wonderful patient. He was the first Vet that I treated for osteoporosis. He had done his research and he taught me! I´m grateful for his Service to the country and helping me prevent other Veterans from ever developing osteo.
