Melissa Sanford Obituary
Missy is survived by her mother, Karon Jean Edwards; seven children, Meagan (Donny) Tomlinson, Lacey (Robert) Smith Shelton, Cody Hunter Smith, Jennifer Sanford, Courtney Chase Sanford, Ashley Lovette. She leaves her grandchildren whom she loved; Paisley Grace Shelton, Maleah Jo Shelton, Blake Lovette, Jacob "Jake" Channing Sanford, Jace Paul, and Lloyd "Makoa" Bond. Surviving family members also include Stan Edwards, Katie Bennett, Scott Edwards, Brad Edwards, Charles Clinton Cummings, and Joseph Aaron Cummings. She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" Sanford.
Missy was born on August 23, 1968. She graduated from First Assembly Christian School. Missy enjoyed cooking, leading friends to prayer, swimming, and watching movies. She had a deep love of family and was happiest spending time with her BFF Billy at the lake and playing with her grandson Jacob.
A funeral is scheduled for 11:00 am on June 29, 2022, at Kingsway Christian Church, 7887 Poplar Avenue Germantown, Tennessee. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at Poplar and Yates in Memphis, Tennessee.
Brent Taylor and Paul B. McCarver Funeral Directors 948 Reddoch Cove Memphis, Tennessee are to handle all funeral services.
