Napoleon Maxwell Obituary
Napoleon accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Vernon M.B. Church. He attended Moscow Elementary and Fayette-Ware High School. He served in the US Army.
He departed this life on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 12:22 a.m. at St. Francis Hospital on Park Avenue, Memphis, TN. Napoleon was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Maxwell; siblings, Lizzie McGhee, Dorothy Coure, Katherine Murrell, Frank Maxwell Jr, L.Z. Maxwell, Grady Williams, Cornelius Settles, Clara Barber and Rosie Franklin.
Napoleon leaves to cherish his loving memories eight sisters, Frankie Johnson of Moscow, TN,
Frances Taylor of Madison, WI, Pattie Maxwell, and Betty Madison of Memphis, TN, Christie Briggs-Goldson (Elliott) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Annie Delois Green (Earnest) of Huntersville, NC,
Lorice Marshall of Rossville, TN, and Vanessa Dennis of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Willie D. McClain (Dawn) of Milwaukee, WI, and Charles McClain (Arlene) of Denver, CO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, two supportive landlords, Mary Warren of Memphis, TN, and Mr. Calvin Miller of Olive Branch, Mississippi, and many friends.
Visitation Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at LaGoshen M.B. Church, 490 LaGosen Dr., Moscow, TN 38057. Funeral Service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. Pastor James Rosser, officiating.
