Patsy Johnson "Pat" Crivelli

1931 - 2023

Patsy "Pat" Johnson Crivelli, age 92, resident of Oakland, Tennessee, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 22, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee.

Pat was born June 25, 1931 in Tupelo, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Frankie Harper and Joseph Johnson. She left Tupelo to attend Delta State College in Cleveland, Mississippi where she met and married her husband, Alex Crivelli in 1950. Together they moved to Clarksdale, Mississippi where they raised two daughters.

Pat was a homemaker and active in her local church in Clarksdale before moving to Fayette County, Tennessee in 1995 to aid in the care of her mother and be near their oldest daughter and son-in-law. She became very active in her church, St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Somerville, teaching religious education for adults and taught many Bible study classes before memory issues interrupted some of her activities. Pat was active in Sisters of Charity of Nazareth as an associate for many years while in Mississippi and Tennessee. She was an avid reader and served on the Fayette County Library Board for a number of years after relocating to the area. In later years, she enjoyed being a member of the local library book club.

Mrs. Crivelli is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Lax (Tony) and Donna Knowles; her grandson, Jake Knowles (Terah); and her great-granddaughter, Katelyn Knowles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Crivelli and her son-in-law, Medford Knowles, Jr.

A visitation for Mrs. Crivelli will be from 12 noon until 1 P.M. Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 1 P.M. Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Deacon Bill Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Memphis.
