Reba Smith Obituary
Reba was born on June 29, 1941 in Grand Junction, Tennessee, to Russell and Elizabeth Stroupe. She graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1959.
Reba was married on April 16, 1966, to Harold Houston Smith, who preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Dennis Smith (Elizabeth); three grandchildren, Samantha Hayes, Brandon Smith (Rachel), and Devin Smith; one great-grandson, Karson Smith; extended family Janet Lynn Smith; numerous family members and close friends.
A longtime resident of Moscow, Tennessee, Reba worked at Beaver Gas and Welding in Memphis until the birth of her son, Dennis, in 1972. She worked at Walmart in Collierville for 27 years before her retirement in 2020. Reba loved crafting, crocheting, reading, attending concerts, traveling, flowers, antiques, shopping, and most of all, her family and friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Smith will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel in Oakland with Bro. Tony Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Moscow. A visitation will be from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Monday, November 27, 2023 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Chris Anderson, Matt Anderson, Kyle Kirkpatrick, Timothy Pittman, Tony Pittman, and Jerry Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be Connie McRee and Duane Watkins.
