Teddy O'Brien Obituary

Teddy O'Brien- Age 89 Memphis, TN

Teddy O'Brien passed away on Friday, May 31. Teddy is survived by her son Ted and daughter Rebecca and by her cousins Marye Lee, Darnelle, Linda, John, Nancy and Clay.

She grew up in Frenchman's Bayou, Arkansas before attending Saint Agnes Academy in Memphis. Teddy was married to Mel O'Brien for 30 years. He passed away in 2007.

Teddy and Mel both loved traveling and visiting art museums and galleries wherever they went. Teddy was an early member of the Lightman Bridge Club and was at one time the youngest Life Master in Memphis. She was also a fantastic cook and enjoyed entertaining friends and family with new recipes. Teddy became a full-time caregiver for her oldest son John after an accident left him paralyzed. She suffered from dementia in her final years, but she never lost her unique personality or her passionate love of life and family.

A funeral service at Memorial Park Fireside Chapel (5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis TN) will be held for Teddy on Thursday, June 6 at 11:00 AM.
