Terry Phillips Obituary

Mr. Terry Phillips, 79, of Collierville, Tennessee, passed away on April 27, 2024. He was born on April 3, 1945, and served in the Air Force from 1964 to 1968.

He married Patricia McCrarey on February 21, 1969, and they were married for an impressive 55 years. Mr. Phillips leaves behind his devoted wife, Patricia, as well as two sons: Ross Phillips (Jennifer) and Wade Phillips (Brooke). Additionally, he had four beloved grandchildren: Allison Robles (Dillon), Xan Phillips, Nora Phillips, and Gavin Phillips. His sister, Donna Jo Hague, also survives him as well as numerous cousins and extended family.

Mr. Phillips had a long and distinguished career. He started working at the Commercial Appeal in 1972 and continued until his retirement in 2008. His dedication and contributions to the newspaper industry are commendable.

Outside of work, Mr. Phillips enjoyed various hobbies. He was passionate about coaching soccer, playing golf, and fishing on the Little Red River. These activities brought him joy and allowed him to connect with others.

His legacy will undoubtedly live on through the memories shared by family, friends, and colleagues. May he rest in peace.
