William Hamm Obituary

William D. "Billy" Hamm, Jr. was born October 6, 1957, and left this earthly world on October 2, 2025, at his home in Burlison, TN surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind two sons, Danny (Connie) Dow of Atoka, TN and Andy (Christy) Hamm of Burlison, TN, four grandchildren Candice Dow of Ava, MO, Troy (Maggie) Dow of Atoka, TN, and Katlyn and Lilly Hamm of Burlison, TN. He also leaves 2 great grandchildren, Brayden and Greta and has another on the way, his four sisters Diane May of Horseshoe Lake, AR, Jeanette Love of Brownsville, TN, Alicia (Jimmy) Sanders of Courtland, MS and Stephanie (Rickey) Cole of Senatobia, MS, one brother Ray Hamm of Carolina Beach, SC and step-mother Charleen King of Sardis, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents William D. Hamm, Sr. and Vera Jane Credille Hamm, wife of 48 years Pat Hamm, daughter Andrea Hamm, brother Clint Hamm and sister Cindy Marshall. Billy loved anything to do with dirt track or NASCAR racing. His grandson Troy Dow was his favorite driver. He also loved playing cornhole with Katlyn, Lilly and all the T-County Bagger crew. He loved his family and was very proud of his sons and grandchildren. Billy was known for his kind spirit and friendly outgoing personality all around the community and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the family to help with funeral expenses or a donation to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation to help find a cure. Services are pending.
