James Callahan Obituary

NORWOOD James Callahan of Norwood, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Marjorie (Woods) Callahan for 54 years; devoted father of James P. of Norwood, Kevin and his wife, Maureen, of North Andover, and Carolyn McMullan and her husband, Cathal, of Norwood. He was an adoring Papa to Cayleigh and Kerry McMullan and Kevin and Rory Callahan. He also leaves a sister, Rosemarie McEachearn and her husband, Frank, of Hampton, N.H. A funeral from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., Norwood, will take place Thursday, Feb. 21 at 8 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne, Thursday, Feb. 21, at 11:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim may be made to St. Catherine of Siena School, 249 Nahatan St., Norwood, MA., 02062. Jim was very proud to be a veteran of three wars.
