This is your cousin Deirdre´,
Maryellen´s daughter. I wish I´d known my sincere condolences to all of you. I´ve always loved your mother and all of you. Mary passed away today in 2017, and none of us could find Sassy´s phone number to let her know.
Well, they are together again.

I first met Sassy about 30 years ago, when I rented her unit above the garage on Heliotrope. We became fast friends. We walked together every morning, sharing in the updates in our lives. And frequently we would wind down the day with a glass of wine. Or two.
Later, we would play tennis when she lived at Park Newport. And she proudly showed me a plaque with her name on it, that was imbedded at a prior home´s tennis court. I know she had a lot of history before I even met her. Like the rest of us, some good, some not-as-we-would-have-liked.
I enjoyed many a time with Sassy at her wonderfully decorated homes in Newport and occasionally at the Balboa Bay Club. We had a marvelous trip to France. We stayed with Christina and Marco in their lovely home overlooking the Mediterranean. I didn´t want to leave.
Over time, Sassy sold me two homes. She had great insight, as to what would be a good fit for me and what would be a good investment. When needed, she gave words of encouragement or caution. I learned to trust her judgment.
There were so many reasons to love Sassy. Her huge smile, outgoing personality, upbeat attitude, open arms. She always brought a smile to my face.
Until our spirits reunite, I will miss my friend.
