Charles Dale Knox, age 86, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
Born on July 14, 1939, Dale was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a longtime resident of the area. He worked for 33 years as a Rigging Supervisor at the K-25 plant, where he was known for his dedication, skill, and leadership.
Dale loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed watching football and racing. He had a warm personality and a special way of making everyone he met feel valued and uplifted.
His sons, Shon (Angel) and John (Julia); his nephew, Scott (Connie); and their families survive him.
From Shon's family: daughter Nichole (Harrison Farr), their son Beckham, daughter Millie Ann, and Shon's son Riley.
From John's family: son Colby (D'Kyea) and their children Jennings, Kyden, and Ke'Andre.
From Scott's family: son Brent (Rachel) and daughter Kelsa Spevack.
Dale will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, humor, and generosity of spirit will be remembered always.
Receiving of Friends will be held at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a family service to follow at 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a veterans' organization or a local animal shelter, causes that reflect Charles's lifelong compassion and care for others.
