Chris Richeson Obituary
Chris Monroe Richeson, 66, of Englewood passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024. Chris never met a stranger and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. He spent several years as a volunteer firefighter for the Englewood Fire Department. He was a loving husband and father; his daughters were his pride and joy. Chris loved his English Bulldog, Bentley. Chris was an avid Tennessee Vols fan. He was always the life of the party, entertaining and keeping everyone laughing. Chris will be greatly missed by all his family and his abundance of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James "Cotton" and Jeanette Richeson; and sister, Cathy Richeson. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Regenia Masengil Richeson; and daughters, Kelsie Richeson and Callie Richeson Cook. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Russ Maples officiating. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Cochran Cemetery on Monday, July 22, for the 11 a.m. committal service. Harold Masengil, Brandon Masengil, Kevin Masengil, Adam Masengil, Ken McJunkin, Connor McJunkin, Zachary Boyd and Phil Burger will serve as pallbearers. Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements. If you are unable to attend, sign the guest registry at www.bordwinefuneralhome.com

I knew Chris from way back. I would go visit his sister Kathy and his mom whenever I stayed at my Granny Burgers house and he would be there at times. Ran into him a couple of times after Kathy passed. He was a very kind person! My prayers for all the family and those who knew him. God Bless!

I have fond memories of Chris and your entire family as the girls were growing up. He was a warm, funny and caring gentleman. I can only image how hard this is on all of you. I am so shocked to hear about Chris, he visited at my house 2 times recently about jury duty. I am so glad I got to spend this time with him. We also have an English bulldog so I heard all about Bently. I'm so sorry for your loss. We are out of town and I am sorry I can't attend his services. He has been a life long friend. I knew Chris in high school and his sister Cathy in college and enjoyed our friendships. I never forgot them and often thought of them and wished we were able to keep in touch. Known Chris for quite a while but never real close . He worked on the other side from me . He played softball with us for a couple years but eveytime I would meet him out we spoke . Very friendly guy always. Prayers sent for family and loved ones.
