Roberta "Roby" Ann Provonsha, 64, of Athens (formerly of Tampa, Fla.) passed away May 19, 2023, at her residence. She was born July 14, 1958, in Fort Rucker, Ala., to the late Don R. Kilbourne and Inge Wevering Kilbourne. Roby was a strong, caring woman who loved her family and friends above all else. She was an amazing wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother. Roby loved her two granddaughters and grandson greatly; she always said they kept her young at heart. Some of her hobbies included gardening, in which she grew the best tomatoes, and crafting, especially wood crafting, at which she was great. She loved riding her Harley and then her side-by-side around their property. She loved music. She is survived by her loving husband, Brent Provonsha; son, Jason (Kristin) Perez; daughter, Devin (David) Charles; stepdaughter, Lesli (Charles) Bucher; siblings, Kevin Kilbourne and Ellen Delgado; and grandchildren, Nolan Charles, Mary Bucher and Elizabeth Bucher. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, followed by the visitation after the service. Roby will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery. Companion Funeral Home of Athens is in charge of arrangements.
