Ronald Brown Obituary

Ronald Gregory Brown, age 85 of Athens TN. passed away September 30, 2025 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. A native of Tulsa Oklahoma he is the son of the late Alford and Marguerite Lawson Brown.

He is preceeded in death by sister, Melanie Alexander; 2 brother-in-laws, Don Mayes and Jerry Alexander; mother-in-law and father-in -law, Erma and Arthur Boettcher.

He was a musician, who loved to play the guitar, fiddle, and piano. He was also a historian, researcher, collector, poet, artist and most importantly a wonderful husband.

Survivors:

Wife of 42 years, Sandy Boettcher Brown; son, Jon Michael (Danielle) Boettcher; grandchildren, Sophia Boettcher and Eddie Boettcher; sister, Diane Mayes; Sister-in-law, Linda Westlund; 2 nieces, Dion (Bird) Burnett and Arion Mayes, nephew, Dan (Jenny) Westlund.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in McMinn Memory Gardens.

Following the graveside service everyone is invited to a reception at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
