Allen Womack Obituary

HAMPTON - Allen T. Womack Sr., 68, entered into eternal life on Friday, March 26, 2004, at Sentara Careplex Hospital. He was a native of Hampton where he lived all of his life. He retired in 1990, as a mechanic, pipe fitter, welder from Newport News Shipbuilding, after 13 years of service. He leaves his beloved wife, Bernice Womack of Hampton; sons, Lamont Womack of Maryland, Allen Womack Jr. (Alice), Bernard Womack, Larry Womack (Penny), Rev. Cletus Womack (Jeanette), all of Hampton, and Terrence Livingston (Ann) of Suffolk; daughters, Cora Parker and Maxine James of Hampton; 22 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; brother, Adam Womack (Gladys) of Hampton; sister, Willie Mae Williams (Jesse) of Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends. The Rev. Cletus Womack will render a homegoing service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 30, at Smith Brothers Funeral Chapel. Interment at Hampton Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble by 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Viewing will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at Smith Brothers Funeral Home, Hampton – Ph: 723-4117.
