Bonnie,
"Miss Anne" was a part of our neighborhood and church family all of my life. I have missed seeing her. She was always an active part of whatever was happening in Mathews. I,m sorry we did not get to the funeral and see you; we were out of town. Our sympathy to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Sue (Morgan) and Rusty Mitchem

Dear Bonnie, I am Susan Kay Brooks Adams, Catherine and Elwood Brooks, Jr. daughter. I have known your mother for as long as I can remember and she was a very sweet lady and will be missed very much. Enjoy seeing her at the Family gatherings at Christmas and other times of the year. We missed her at Lilly's Neck in September. She is in a much better place now and some day we will all see her again. If you would like a copy of the group photo I took in July of 2007 at Pelican Cove with your mother in it and I also have a good one of her at Lilly's Neck in September on 2008 let me know and I will be glad to send them to you by mail or email.
Sincerely, Susan and Edgar Adams

To Bonnie, I'm not sure we ever met, but your Mom was a dear sweet friend of mine! over the past 30 years I have come back to visit my folks, Jim & Marie Billups...and use to love to come and set with your Mom on the porch or in the kitchen, and visit. She was ... and IS ... a wonderful woman. You were blessed to be able to call her "Mother".
You have all my love and tenderness!
Sincerely, with Love, Betty Jean Billups

I first met Anne when I moved to Mathews and joined the Kings Daughters. I got to know her then, and later after I joined the Mathews County Woman's Club. She was a faithful member in both organizations and attended on a regular basis until her health prevented her from outside activities. I so admired her and will miss her warm and ready smile.

When I think of Miss Anne I am drawn to Proverbs 31:10-31. I hope some day these words reflect my life as much as they do her's.

Bonnie, thinking of you and your family at this time. I remember your mother well, especially as a teacher at Lee Jackson school. Loretta Ingram Hudgins
