Annette Forrest Obituary

POQUOSON - Annette Lawson Forrest, 87, a native and lifelong resident of Poquoson, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016. She worked as an employee specialist for N.A.S.A., retiring in 1994 after 30 years of service. Annette was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Marian Page Circle, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the James River Country Club. Annette was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, William Asa Forrest; parents, Maynard and Viola Lawson; and brother, Will Lawson. She is survived by her son, David Lawson Forrest (Margaret Blanchard, fiancé`e); grandchildren, Bradley Lawson Forrest of Dallas, TX, and Evan David Forrest of Charlottesville, VA; and brother, Donnie Lawson and wife Sandra of Poquoson. The family will receive friends during a visitation, Friday, March 11, 12:30-2:00 PM, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Poquoson, immediately followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at the church by Rev Charles R. Stacy. Burial will follow at Weston Cemetery, Poquoson. A reception will be held at the church during the visitation prior to the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Poquoson Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 2099, Poquoson, VA, 23662. Online condolences to claytorrollins.com .
