Barry W. Smoot Sr.

WILLIAMSBURG - Barry W. Smoot Sr., 67 passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014. He retired from Honeywell after many years of service and was a member of Sons of the American Legion. Barry is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years Aleta Smoot; son, Barry Smoot Jr. and his wife Mandie; daughter, Lynne Michelle Upton and her husband Jimmy. His greatest joy were his grandchildren, Brendan, Noelle, Nicholas Smoot, Rhiannon Upton; sister, Ronda McDonald; brothers, Les and Dale Smoot; beloved sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, and nephews that he adored, and other extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday September 6, 2014 with a visitation to follow at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
