Bennie Jr., I never met your dad, but he must have been terrific to have raised as many kids as he did. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I didn't get to know Bennie as well as I would have liked to, with me only getting to see him and Martha when I visited Jeanette and Bunkie. I know he was loved very much by his family, and I know he loved his family deeply, even though it was not his nature to express or show it. I know it will be hard to go on without him, but take comfort in knowing that he is watching over his loved ones. Remenber the good times with him and know that some day we all will be together again. Bennie you will be missed but not forgotten. Sending my love and prayers to the family. Jean

My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family now and always. It may seem strange to say that a lot of our grieving takes place watching our loved ones struggle and suffer and in death we do receive a sort of peace. We still have our moments of sadness and lonliness that is ours alone but our healing begins because theirs is complete. Although we shall all miss Bennie, his healing is now complete. May you all remember to lean on God's love and understanding through your most toughest times. I will miss you dearly Uncle Bennie!!!

Oh,how you will be missed, your funny sayings and the funny things you did that always kept us wondering what you say or do next. You were such a wonderful Dad and Father-In-Law,always there to lend a helping hand or advice .Who's going to keep "your space" straight? And as the words in a song "Who's Gonna Fill Your Shoes?''no one,you were one of a kind who is loved and missed so much. You are in a better place with no more pain,to want you back,, We all do ,,but in good health and thats not possible.Watch over us and know you are always in our hearts.
With much Love & Sorrow

Well Bennie, not to much of the Family gets online lol so I may very well be the only one to sign this guestbook but at least it will allow me to express my thoughts. I thank you so much for what you have given me through the years. I was closer to you than my paternal grandfather so as far as I am concerned you ARE my grandfather. There is no "step" to it. I thank you so much for accepting us as your own through the years. As you know Thanksgiving is around the corner and it just won't be the same. How am I going to make the sweet potatoes pies without you around? Now they may taste like h*ll!! haha But who knows maybe you can whisper a little something in my ear while I'm cooking!!! :) You are at peace now and Sherry is by your side. Let the good times begin!!! :) We miss and love you both so very much!! Cancer is a horrible thing and you have my word that I will never miss a Relay for Life as long as I'm alive. We will find a cure!! I'm just sorry that it had to take the lives of 2 such beautiful people. We love you Benny and we will see you again one day!! We will miss you, "you old quack" haha (chip misses you terribly)

All of my Love,
Jess
