Charles MOORE Obituary
He was a resident of Picture Rocks, Pa., for the past 20 years and a native of Poquoson. Charles was born April 10, 1944, to the late Carroll Presson Moore and Minnie Susan Carmines. He was a graduate of Poquoson High School, class of 1962. Charles worked in the printing industry-the first 28 years for Sturgis Newport Business Forms in Hampton, followed by 17 years at Data Papers Inc., in Muncy, Pa. He was very dedicated to his family, enjoyed his hobby of model railroading, and was always eager to travel, especially to any destination in Virginia. Charles will be so deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Charles was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Carroll Moore Sr.; and a nephew, Thomas Carroll Moore Jr.
He is survived by his soul mate, best friend and wife of 28 years, Anne Coffey Moore; and seven children, Davin Carroll Moore of Elizabeth City, N.C., Robert Dewey Moore and wife, Tracy and sons, Luke and Seth of Elizabethtown, Ky., Charlotte Ross and husband, Randy and son, Cameron of Poquoson, Heather Dorman and husband, Jim and children, Brooke, Ryan and Makenna of Muncy, Pa., Charles Coffey Moore of San Diego, Calif., and Carroll Presson Moore and Jessie Lee Moore of Picture Rocks, Pa.; brother-in-law, John David Coffey Jr. of Edinburg; many cousins and extended family members in the Poquoson area.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson. A funeral will be held at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home chapel by Pastor Dan Cromer. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News.
