Chen-Huei Liu Obituary

Chen-Huei ("Eddie") Liu, 82, a former long-time resident of Williamsburg, passed away at his home in California on June 20, 2023. Eddie was married 55 years to Grace Liu, who survives him, along with three sons, their spouses, and five beloved grand-children. Eddie is also survived by two brothers and a sister, all of Williamsburg, and many nieces and nephews.

Eddie was born in Mainland China. In 1949, he relocated with his parents to Taiwan where he graduated from Cheng Kung University. He later came to the United States and received his Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from New York University, and thereafter accepted a position at NASA Langley Research Center where he served until his retirement. He and his wife, Grace, were active in missions work at Williamsburg Community Chapel, also working with Dois Rosser's ICM to build churches around the globe, and bringing the Gospel message to international students at the College of William and Mary.

A celebration of Eddie's life will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday afternoon, July 30, 2023, at Williamsburg Community Chapel. Memorials can be sent to the Chapel at 3899 John Tyler Hwy, Williamsburg, VA 23185 or to ICM, at 1901 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, Virginia 23666. Hampton, VA
