I know I haven't seen you in quite a while,Cyndi, but always hear about you from my payroll buddies. I know you are in a fog now, and probably will be for a long time, (I've been there)But please know that I am thinking of you every day!!! David was a great guy, and i had the privilege of knowning him for eight wonderful years, he played on rec and school teams with my older brother. He had a smile that would brighten a room. And i will never forget the times he would give me a huge in the halls just to get me to smile. He used to say "Hannah show that pretty smile". He will be miss forever but never forgotten. He will always be our angel in the out field. May he rest in peace.

"Lil David" is what we called you. Although we haven't seen each other since your were about six, our fondest memory of you is the slide not fast enough and the wax paper to make it so. God changed your direction for reasons unknown, except only to him.

I used to go to school with David back in middle school, and though i hadn't seen him in years and i still remember him very well, and thought of him as a good friend who made every minute something to laugh about. I will miss him even more now that i know i'll never have the chance of seeing him again like i have the chance to see the rest of my friends i left behind.

You probably don't remember me but I am one of Susan's friends. I remember meeting your son a few times while Grandma Viv was watching him. He was very young then, probably only three or four. It is very apparent that David grew into a very talented and wonderful young man. My heart breaks for your entire family to have suffered such a tremendous loss. I pray that each of you will find comfort in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ today and always.

If you need anything at all, just let me know!! Your son was one of the nicest people i've ever met!! He was such a great guy! i'm really going to miss him! i'm going to miss having him stare at me because he knew i didnt like it, and say "hey, how's it going" like 50 times per class to see how long it would take for me to fuss at him! He is going to be missed by so many people, i will NEVER forget him! He will remain in my heart forever!!!

I can't begin to imagine what you're going through, but as I reflect on today's memorial service, I'm dumbfounded by the depth and maturity of all those kids who shared their memories of David Todd. I hope you find comfort in the fact that you raised such a fine young man; someone who was compassionate, put others before himself, had a great sense of humor and was a role model for others. Although you had him for way too short a period of time, you should be proud of the wonderful job you did parenting such a special kid.

I cannot even begin to comprehend what you are going through and feel so completely helpless in the face of your pain. All that is left is prayer for you and the healing touch from God that will come. David Todd is with God and requires no interventions on our part.
