David Rosser Obituary

HAMPTON - David C. Rosser Jr., 73, passed away at his son's home, with his family by his side, on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007.
He was born in Farmville, Va., on Sept. 13, 1934, to the late Mr. and Mrs. David C. Rosser Sr. He attended Farmville High School and then continued his education at North Carolina State College and graduated with a degree in engineering. He retired from NASA after 43 years of service. He lived most of his life in Hampton Va., and was a well known business man.
He is survived by his son, David C. Rosser III, and fiancEe, Kate McLaughlin, from Hampton; daughters, Deborah K. Bennett and her husband, Danny, from Hampton, and Alice Gail Rosser from Gloucester. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many friends and associates.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Parklawn - Wood Funeral Home. A private family service will be held in Prospect, Va.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23513.
Friends are encouraged to visit www.mem.com to share words of comfort and memories with the family.
Service arrangements are under the care of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton VA.
