David Shewbridge Obituary

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. - David S. Shewbridge, 65, of 136 Oak Forest Drive died Friday, May 6, 2005. A native of Washington County, Md., he was the son of the late George and Emma Deener Shewbridge. He was retired from Crown Central Petroleum Co. and Krispy Kreme Inc. He was a Vietnam Air Force veteran. Enjoying time and sports with his grandchildren and great-grandson, he truly was a loving husband, father, grandparent, brother and friend to all. He was predeceased by his daughter, Tammy Lynn Shewbridge, and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Lucy K. Shewbridge, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Anna Marie Kirstine and Chuck, of Kernersville; grand-children David Kirstine, Cindy Walser, and Cory McGee; great-grandson, Christopher Walser; three sisters and two brothers. Funeral service was 11 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2005, at Kernersville Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. Phil Hulen officiating. Interment followed in Mount Gur Cemetery. The family received friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on May 8, at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
