Deborah HINES Obituary

HAMPTON - In God's infinite wisdom, he saw that the load was getting heavy to bear. So he decided to call you home to sit by his side. On Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, at 3:10 p.m. Deborah Lynette Hines, completed her life's journey.
Deborah was born on July 20, 1968, against all odds survived many medical afflictions including a brain tumor as a toddler, surpassing all doctors expectation she was blessed with 31 more years than what the doctors expected. Her sister said that Deborah did all she wasn't supposed to do and then some. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.
Left to cherish her memories is her mother, Lossie Louise Goode; stepfather, Robert; and father, James Hines.
Deborah attended Hampton Public Schools; she was a graduate of Hampton High School class of 1988. She was employed at ARC of Virginia Peninsula for many years. She enjoyed dancing, going to the sock-hop, listening to music, doing her word search, eating out and camping with her peers.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Amber Nicole Hines; sister, Sheila Young; and brothers, Gregory and Eric Hines. Also left to cherish her memory is a host of aunts, uncles, great-aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family. We love you Deb no doubt about that.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home. A celebration of life services will be held at 11 a.m. at Shalom Baptist Church, 1111-24th Street, Newport News, VA 23607, with Pastor Derrick Perkins officiating. Burial will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
