Donald Franklin Pascucci

Don Pascucci, 77, of Newport News, died on February 18 at his daughter's home in Ashland, after a long struggle with dementia. He was born in Danville to the late Lottie and Frank Pascucci. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara O'Meara Pascucci, sister, Betty Jo Neumann, brother-in-law, Ronald O'Meara; daughter, Anne Marie Hayes, and granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Haas.

Don is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jay Haas; son-in-law, Marshall Hayes (Jennifer); daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Carol Hayes and Lee Steider; sister-in-law, Nancy O'Meara; and grandchildren, Madeleine Kerns and Adrienne, Thomas, and Jeremiah Haas.

Don attended Whitmell High School and Virginia Tech. He worked in submarine development at NN Shipbuilding before opening Maury Electrical Service, which he operated for 40 years. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and volunteered many hours to both the church and school. He could fix anything, and he loved helping his friends and neighbors.

Visitation on Monday, February 28 from 11 am- noon at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon, followed by burial in Peninsula Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to OLMC School, 52 Harpersville Road, NN, VA 23601.
