It is with a heavy heart I received the news of Dr. Moore's death. I am one of her children she brought into the world in 1945 . She was my doctor, my mother's , my brother's,and my cousin's, doctor and the list goes on. I knew if I went to Dr. Moore everything would be fixed....RIGHT. She was a wonderful person, doctor and child of God.

It was with much saddness that Bill and I learned today of Dr. Moore's death. Our deepest sympathy goes out to her family, Mr. Jones, and all of her "children".
When Dr. Moore graduated from MCV in 1943, she was one of only eight women in the class. Later, after she retired, she still kept up with the latest innovations in her field, and for years, her former patients would call her from Petersburg, just to get her advice.
Shortly after I met this great lady, she mentioned something about her children. I knew that she had never been married, and was puzzled--she was certainly a modern woman, but that modern? I asked her how many children she had, and she answered "thousands". Then I understood--every baby she delivered, and there were thousands, was one of her children. She kept in touch with them and looked out for them. I met some of her "children" later, because after she retired and moved to Bena, they often came for visits.
Dr, Moore is no longer a young woman in an old woman's body. She's a young woman in a young woman's body, and you can bet that she is still looking after the people around her.
