Earvin Yellorday of Hampton, VA passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. He was born December 20, 1944 in Roanoke Rapids, NC to the late Willard Yellorday and Mable Lee Yellorday. Earvin, also known as â€œYakâ€�, relocated at an early age to Newport News, VA where he attended school. He worked many years with the Moffitt Restoration Company. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vivian Brown Newby. He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Earvin Newsome; three sisters, Louise Washington, Iona Pierce, and Dora Yellorday; two brothers, Willie Lee Yellorday and Steve Yellorday; and a host of great-grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A funeral will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 19 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601 27th Street, Newport News. Viewing will be held from 12 to 6pm on Wednesday, April 18. Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens in Hampton.
