To the entire Roach family...My heartfelt prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. I wish I could have been there...and you know I would have....put just getting over surgery. The Roach family and the Pavlik family were very close back in the old Riverdale neighborhood and I always felt like that was my second home when I was a kid. Francis will be missed but she is now back in the loving hands of the love of her life...Frank. God bless this great family.

I met Mrs Roach in 2016 when I was in rehab for hip replacement, she was a ray of Sunshine always enjoyed talking with her. I returned the following year for the other hip replacement. One of the first things I ask was if she was still at York, everyone that came in contact with Mrs Roach immediately fell in love with her. She was so proud of her room at York and always had a special wreath on her door. To her family, so sorry for your loss, she loved you dearly.

We are all going to miss Mrs. Roach so much. Already the Colonial Wing feels different. She was such a wonderful creative woman and so much more than just a resident at York. She was an ear to listen and gave great advice and always so pleasant. Such a one of a kind woman that I admire.

She would be one of the first to show up for the York-Poquoson Master Gardener Flower Therapy on the 4th Tuesday of the month. We enjoyed her presence as much as she enjoyed the flowers and would take a vase of them back to her room.
She will be missed.

It was a true honor to know Frances. We met her not long after she moved into York Convalescent Center. Our Legion of Mary group from St. Joan of Arc had just started, and we had begun visiting York Convalescent every week. Visiting and praying with residents, we would often end our rounds at Frances' room. She would always help us to leave there filled with such positivity and light. She was so naturally devout and prayerful, but also enjoyed chatting about her plants and flowers that filled that room with life and vitality. She led the other residents in making crafts and decorations for their rooms and family members. She gave of herself freely--we still have one of her colored drawings in our Legion of Mary meeting room to this day. Her artwork was everywhere, but she most enjoyed talking about her family and stories of raising her daughters, who we often bumped into on our visits. What a joyous bunch of beautiful flowers surrounding their mom!
Sincere condolences to her loving family and Eternal rest grant unto Frances, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her.

Wish we could have gotten to Virginia more frequently to visit all our family there. Aunt Fran has always been special to us, and we will miss her so much. Our prayers go out to the Roach girls that you may be comforted knowing your mom has now been joined with your dad, and they will always be watching over you girls. My dad was very touched by his friendship with your mom, and he is saddened by her passing, also. Kathy and family send their prayers as well as Mike and his family. Love to all.
