Frank Cappe Obituary

HAMPTON - Frank A. Cappe died Jan. 23, 2003, at Sentara Careplex Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and had been a Hampton resident since 1955. He was employed at Hampton University for 41 years and retired as an internal auditor in 2000. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, new member of the Knights of Peter Claver at St. Vincent, a member of the Quarter Century Club at Hampton University, a member of the Bachelor Benedict Civic and Social Club in Hampton. In most capacities he was the financial treasurer. He is survived by his wife, Luvenia; two sons, Enrique, Fernando (Dee-Dee); three grandchildren, Daquan, Tiera and Sh'Kise. Viewing will be held from noon to 7 p.m. today at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hampton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Blanche Ward Taliaferro Scholarship Fund at Hampton University or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Building Fund.
